Use your own AI agent

An external AI agent can work on your Wirechunk site alongside the built-in assistant and direct editors. It connects with your authorization and works within your account and site permissions.

Choose a connection

A remote MCP client connects to https://app.wirechunk.com/mcp. A browser agent can use the Wirechunk app’s WebMCP interface while you are signed in. Connecting an agent explains both routes.

This management access is for working on your site. Customer agents use the public interfaces of the published website, described in agents on your website.

Give the agent a specific job

Identify the site and the desired change. Supply the business facts the agent should use, and say whether you want a draft only or want to proceed through review and publishing.

The agent can inspect content, create and update records, review validation, and produce a preview. Wirechunk provides the schemas and workflow instructions needed to work with the platform.

Review the result

External agents use the shared draft and the same publication system as other editors. Read the edited content and check related records such as navigation and forms. Use preview to inspect the website before publishing.

Agent access follows your permissions. Account billing and ownership operations have their own authorization requirements, and an agent cannot bypass them through the content tools.

Manage the connection

Review your authorized agents in the app’s connections area. Disconnect a client when it no longer needs access. If an agent loses access after a permissions change, review the account and site permissions before reconnecting.
